Ontario Fallen Fire Fighter Memorial, 9/12/2008

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

In March 2003, the Ontario Fire Fighters Memorial Foundation was incorporated. The mission of the Foundation is to establish and maintain a lasting memorial dedicated to fire fighters who have sacrificed their lives in the service of the people of Ontario.

On October 5, 2008, the annual Memorial Service will commence at 14:00 hours on the Memorial site which is located on the northeast corner of Queen's Park Circle and College Street.  This year, 63 names will be added to the granite walls.

The Executive Board of the OPFFA encourages all members to support our 63 families of the Fallen by participating in the Memorial Service on October 5th.  Please check this site often as updates will be posted as they become available.

The uniform of the day will be full dress with medals and ribbons worn.  We ask that  uniform members wishing to participate in the Honor Guard, muster no later than 13:30 at the site, where you will be directed to the step-off location. The service will last approximately one hour.
