Promotions for OPFFA Members Brian George and Greg Laing, 1/20/2010
Attention All OPFFA Locals: We have been advised of two recent promotions to the position of Deputy Chief in the province. Former Mississauga Local 1212 President Greg Laing has accepted a position as Deputy Chief with the Mississauga Department. Local 1212 has notified us that they will continue for a period of time with a vacancy in the President's position and during this time any inquires can be sent to their V/P Chris Varcoe (varcoechris@aol.com) or their Secretary Mark Train (marktrain@mississaugafirefighters.org). Secondly, former London Local 142 President, 5th District V/P, and Executive V/P of the OPFFA, Brian George has accepted a position as Deputy Chief with the London Fire Service. On behalf of the OPFFA I would like to express our appreciation for the service and dedication of both Greg and Brian in their representation of their Locals and our members province-wide.
