The OPFFA is in the final stages of preparation for the 12th Annual OPFFA Convention to be held in the City of Guelph from June 1-4, 2009 at the Holiday Inn and Conference Centre located on Scottsdale Drive in Guelph.

This year's event will mark the 4th time the Guelph Local has hosted the OPFFA Convention.

A busy hospitality program has been put together for the delegates spouses or guests to enjoy the beautiful City as the delegates get down to business shaping the next mandate for the OPFFA. 

Before getting to the business of the convention, the delegates and spouses will stop and pay tribute on Monday evening during a memorial service to all those who have lost their lives since our last convention.  The delegates will then hear from International Association of Fire Fighters General President Harold Schaitberger on Tuesday morning. 

This year the OPFFA will also be hosting its biennial banquet where the Hon, Rick Bartolucci, Minister for Community Safety & Correctional Services for the province of Ontario will address delegates, spouses, former OPFFA Officers, and special guests.  It is at this event where the prestigious OPFFA awards will be handed out.
