Kitchener 5th Annual Fallen Fire Fighters Memorial Day & Family FunFest, 9/23/2009
Please find the attached (links below) invitation and accompanying agenda for our 5th Annual Fallen Fire Fighters Memorial Day & Family FunFest which was awarded by KW Oktoberfest as the Best Family/Cultural Event in 2008!
Great fun-filled morning as you'll note for families and groups to participate or just sit back with your Timmy's coffee and watch the fire rescue demos! We'll have 'DougTheGreat' stilt-walking, FF Unicyclists, 'KatieTheGreat' face painting, 'Rangers Street Team' and lots more.
We encourage you (co-workers, teams, family, friends) to consider joining others like Heffner's who are entering a relay team or two into the Community/VIP/Media Firefighter Combat Challenge (relax...it's an easier course!) and there's even one for kids so how hard can it be!? It's free, but donations towards Clarky's Kids & Families of the Fallen Fund will gladly be accepted.
The Kitchener Ranger players don't get off that easy as they'll run the real course at a pre-event Challenge Day at the Waterloo Regional Emergency Services Training & Research Centre!
Ceremonial Parade led by the antique fire truck features Kitchener Fire Pipes & Drums with Toronto Fire Pipes & Drums, firefighters, police &EMS from across/outside the region, and the Red Knights FF Motorcycle Club.
Please join us after at Bobby O'Brien's Irish Pub for some finger foods, drinks and some pipe & drum fun!
